Dear readers,

I am delighted that the State Visit of His Highness Scheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani and his wife H.H Scheikha Mozah Bint Nasser to The Federal Republic of Germany in September 2010, was a great success, and led to strengthen the good bilateral relations between our two countries since we began our diplomatic ties in 1973. Qatar is aware of building more ties and taking necessary measures to deepen and widen its investments in Germany, where the start was investing in big companies such as Porsche, Volkswagen, Hochtief, and more to come.

On the other side, doors were opened widely for German companies to enter Qatari market to carry out infrastructure projects and other which serve the development goals. Some of these companies are Wintershall, Siemens, Hochtief, and Deutsche Bahn.

We shall carry out developing our relations especially in sector of culture and every sector serve the benefit the friendship of our two nations.

With great pride we received the news of the historical win that Qatar to host the Football World Cup Championship 2022. It is the first time where such event will take place in an Arab country, in other words in the Middle and Near East. No doubt this decision shows how the Arab World became an address not only because of its wealth of oil and gas, but for its civilized and cultural openness on the world. Today football is a mean where peoples and nations come close to each other, also persons with different beliefs and directions, these principles Qatar believes in and abide and constantly calls for it since long time. From this point, the Football World Cup Championship 2022 is going to be an event and also an opportunity for our two countries to develop our relations. German football fans will have the opportunity to get to know Qatar, and witness the level of civilization and sophisticated infrastructure in Qatar.

No doubt that this also a chance for German experts especially in the sector of building sport arenas and sophisticated stadiums which will be eligible to organize such event, and show the importance of German know how in taking part to organize big international events.

Welcome in Qatar, where you are always welcome, especially when Qatar hosts Football World Cup Championship 2022.
